An Owner may modify, repair or conduct maintenance on the internal and external features of a Unit:

In most circumstances, the responsibility for paying for the remodeling, repair or maintenance costs for a Unit's features rests with the Owner. A tenant should obtain permission from the Owner prior to such activities.
Those familiar with these policies and permit requirements for remodeling will be better able to use the specific information regarding remodeling and repair tips, and possible contractors, for:
- balconies and patios
- cable TV
- doors
- dryer vents
- electricity, wiring and appliances
- energy efficiency
- exterminators
- fire places and chimneys

- handymen, maids, and miscellaneous contractors
- heating, ventilation, and air conditioning ("HVAC")
- keys (building access)
- lofts
- phone line wiring
- plumbing and water shut-offs
